Background: Medicinal plants that possess antimicrobial and antioxidant properties have garnered significant attention for their role in maintaining food quality, improving safety, impeding spoilage. They also can aid controlling contamination risks augmenting the nutritional value of foods. Objective: The study aimed to obtain botanical extracts possessing capabilities use them inhibit growth molds yeasts. Additionally, these are at prolonging product shelf life by harnessing attributes. Methods: Several microorganisms, including E. coli Pseudomonas, were subjected testing. Ethanolic alcohol, chloroform, essential oil prepared; tablets then immersed solutions test efficacy. Results: leaf displayed efficacy against with Staphylococcus aureus Serratia marcescens, while organic extracts, which included ethyl alcohol did not show any inhibitory effects bacteria. Conclusion: basil extract demonstrated activity particularly case compared other methods extraction.
