Prostate cancer (PCa), a highly prevalent in men worldwide, is projected to rise the coming years. As emerging data indicate carcinogenic effects of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) lung and other site-specific cancers, there an urgent need evaluate relationship between this environmental risk factor PCa as potential target for intervention. The present review provides up-to-date evidence about impact airborne PM2.5 pollution on initiation progression PCa. Examining composition characteristics reveals its ability induce toxic effects, inflammatory injuries, oxidative damages. Additionally, can attach endocrine-disrupting chemicals implicated prostatic carcinogenesis. Considering significance stress disease, our underlines protective strategies, such antioxidant-based approaches, individuals exposed increased levels. Moreover, findings call further research understand associations mechanisms linking exposure well suggest appropriate measures by policymakers, scientific researchers, healthcare professionals order address global health issue.

Prostate cancer is the most common solid malignant tumor in men, characterized by high morbidity and mortality. While current screening tools, such as prostate-specific antigen (PSA) testing digital rectal examination, are available for early detection of prostate cancer, their sensitivity specificity limited. Tissue puncture biopsy, although capable offering a definitive diagnosis, has poor positive predictive rates burdens patient more. Therefore, more reliable molecular diagnostic tools urgently need to be developed. In recent years, microRNAs (miRNAs) have attracted much attention research. miRNAs extensively engaged biological processes cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, migration, invasion modulating gene expression post-transcriptionally. Dysregulation miRNA considered critical factor tumorigenesis progression. This review first briefly introduces biogenesis functions then focuses on tumor-promoting tumor-suppressor cancer. Finally, potential application multifunctional prognostic assessment, therapy discussed detail. The concluding section summarizes major points challenges ahead.
