Abstract
Listeriosis
caused
by
Listeria
monocytogenes
often
poses
a
significant
threat
to
vulnerable
populations.
Dairy
products
have
been
implicated
in
outbreaks
of
listeriosis
worldwide.
In
Ethiopia,
studies
identified
spp.
and
L.
various
dairy
products,
but
the
genetic
diversity
phylogenetic
relationships
these
bacteria
remain
largely
unknown
low-
middle-income
countries.
Therefore,
we
conducted
whole-genome
sequencing
on
15
55
innocua
isolates
obtained
from
different
levels
supply
chains
across
three
regions
Ethiopia.
Genomes
were
assembled
used
for
MLST
genotyping
single
nucleotide
polymorphism
(SNP)
analysis
infer
relationships.
We
total
3
(i.e.,

145,
18)
12
1489,
1619,

637)
sequence
types
among
studied
isolates.
Some
showed
region-specific
occurrence,
while
others
broadly
distributed
regions.
Through
high-quality
SNP
analysis,
found
that

as
ST
11
them
highly
similar
with
low
variation,
differing
only
1
10
SNPs,
suggesting
potential
selection
food
chain.
The

exhibited
intra-ST
variation
0–10
differences,
except
which
displayed
greater
diversity.

non-pathogenic,
frequently
coexists
with
monocytogenes
in
industrial
environments,

its
survival

and
facilitate
their

review
was
to
identify
bacteriophages
promising
method
for
eliminating
