The poultry industry is continuously seeking strategies to improve chicken health, welfare, and productivity while minimizing the use of antibiotics. Probiotics, as a natural alternative, have gained considerable attention due their ability modulate gut microbiota, enhance immune function, productive performance. aim this article provide updated information on importance probiotics in chicken. To achieve this, systematic review was conducted synthesize current findings impact microbiota composition, responses, behavior, traits, meat quality using literature databases such PubMed, CABI Abstract, Google Scholar, ScienceDirect from April 2010. PRISMA method adopted, where 85 articles met criteria for after several exclusion criteria. stated that influence intestinal microbial balance, promote beneficial bacterial populations, suppress pathogens, nutrient absorption, improving growth Additionally, immunomodulatory effects help strengthen chicken’s system, reducing disease susceptibility. Moreover, recent studies suggest may positively particularly by stress, enhancing overall welfare conditions. This also addresses gaps knowledge, highlighting areas further research needed optimize probiotic production systems. Understanding both short- long-term health performance will critical insights developing sustainable boost outcomes.
