This annual review covers the literature published in 2015 on topics related to occurrence and fate of emerging environmental pollutants wastewater. Due vast amount this topic, I have discussed only a fraction quality research publications, up maximum 20 relevant articles per section, due limitation space. The abstract search was carried out using Web Science, abstracts were selected based their relevance. In few cases, full-text referred better understand new findings. is divided into following sections: biological agents, disinfection by-products (DBPs), halogenated compounds, pharmaceuticals personal care products (PPCPs), other contaminants.

The construction, performance characteristics, and application of iron(III) sensors based on (5,5'- (propane-1,3-diylbis(sulfanediyl))bis(3-benzyl-4H-1,2,4-triazol-4-amine) (ionophore A), 5,5'-(butane- 1,4-diylbis(sulfanediyl))bis(3-benzyl-4H-1,2,4-triazol-4-amine) B), 7,8,16,17-tetrahydrodibenzo[e,m] [1,4,8,11]dioxadiazacyclotetra-decine C) [3{(1E)-2-[3-2-[3- [(1E)-2-aza-2-(3-carboxyphenyl)vinyl]phenoxy}-ethoxy)phenyl1]-1-azavinyl} benzoic acid D) are reported in this paper. prepared by incorporating A, B, C D ionophores into a plasticized carbon paste electrodes to form I, II, III IV, respectively. Under the optimized conditions, reveal Nernstian slopes 20±0.32, 20.3±0.46, 19.2±0.62 21±0.25 mV decade-1 over wide concentration range from 1 × 10-6 10 2 mol L-1 with detection limit 6.4 10-7, 4.8 10-7 at pH 1.8- 3, 2- 3.5 for stable 86, 74, 66 95 days without any measurable divergence potential characteristics exhibit good selectivity respect alkali, alkaline earth transition metal ions (e.g. Na(I), K(I), Ba(II), Ca(II), Zn(II), Cd(III), Co(II), Mn(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Pb(II) Al(III)). This method is successfully applied potentiomertric determination Fe(III) water, soil fish tissue samples, results obtained agreed those atomic absorption spectrometer (AAS).
