As
an
important
group
of
widespread
organic
substances
in
aquatic
ecosystems,
dissolved
matter
(DOM)
plays
essential
role
carbon
recycling
and
transformation
processes.
The
photochemical
behavior
DOM
is
one
the
main
ways
it
participates
these
processes,
attracts
extensive
attention.
However,
due
to
a
variety
sources
water
conditions,
including
both
freshwater
seawater
environments,
properties
exhibit
great
differences.
Nowadays,
large
number
studies
have
focused
on
generation
process
reactive
species
(RS)
from
sunlit
DOM,
while
little
effort
has
been
made
so
far
provide
comprehensive
summary
especially
fresh
saline
ecosystems.
In
this
review,
we
analyzed
research
hotspot
photochemistry
over
last
30
years,
summarizing
photoreactive
natural
environments
containing
(both
seawater)
listing
factors
affecting
rate,
yield,
RS
photoproduction.
Compared
with
freshwater,
unique
characteristics
such
as
high
pH
value,
ionic
strength,
halide
ions,
which
affect
photogeneration
RS,
photoconversion
process,
well
reaction
pathways
various
environmental
substances.
general,
DOM-induced
surface
impacts
toxic
effects
pollutants
can
even
contribute
significantly
Earth's
cycle,
would
potential
implications
for
human
ecological
health.

Recent
studies
showed
that
land
is
the
most
important
sink
for
microplastics
(MPs);
however,
limited
information
available
on
photoaging
processes
of
surface
MPs
are
exposed
to
air.
Herein,
this
study
developed
two
in
situ
spectroscopic
methods
systematically
explore
effect
air
humidity
MP
using
a
microscope
Fourier
transform
infrared
spectroscopy
and
laser
Raman
microscope,
which
were
equipped
with
control
system.
Polyethylene
microplastics,
polystyrene
poly(vinyl
chloride)
(PVC-MPs)
used
as
model
MPs.
Our
results
relative
(RH)
could
significantly
influence
oxygen-containing
moieties
generated
from
photo-oxidation,
especially
PVC-MPs.
As
RH
level
varied
10
90%,
decrease
photogenerated
carbonyl
group
an
increase
hydroxyl
observed.
This
be
attributed

adsorption

Both
zinc
oxide
nanoparticles
(ZnO
NPs)
and
microplastics
(MPs)
were
extracted
from
one
commercial
sunscreen,
while
other
ingredients
removed
based
on
the
"like
dissolves
like"
principle.
MPs
further
by
acidic
digestion
of
ZnO
NPs
using
HCl
characterized
as
spherical
particles
approximately
5
μm
with
layered
sheets
in
an
irregular
shape
surface.

Our
study
for
first
time
explored
activation
derived
products
revealed
high
MPs,
providing
new
evidence
effects
human
health.
