The bioremediation of heavy metal ions and pesticides is both cost-effective environmentally friendly. Microbial remediation considered superior to conventional abiotic processes, due its cost-effectiveness, decrement biological chemical sludge, selectivity toward specific ions, high removal efficiency in dilute effluents. Immobilization technology using biochar as a carrier one important approach for advancing microbial remediation. This article provides an overview biochar-based materials, including their design production strategies, physicochemical properties, applications adsorbents support microorganisms. Microorganisms that can cope with the various and/or enter environment are also outlined this review. Pesticide be influenced by activity, pollutant bioavailability, environmental factors, such pH temperature. Furthermore, elucidating interaction mechanisms, paper summarizes microbe-mediated metals pesticides. In review, we compile discuss those works focusing on study strategies utilizing microorganisms how immobilized bacteria contribute improvement strategies. There summary sources harmful effects metals. Finally, based research described above, outlines future scope field.
