Reservoirs, heavily influenced by artificial management, often harbor phytoplankton assemblages dominated cyanobacteria or dinoflagellates, triggering significant changes in aquatic ecosystems. However, due to limited sampling frequency and insufficient attention species composition, the bloom processes key characteristics of community structure have not been systematically elucidated. During low-water level period when blooms are most likely occur (June September) a tributary bay Three Gorges Reservoir, daily was conducted investigate identify environmental factors, evaluate important community. The results showed that Microcystis aeruginosa maintained clear dominance for almost month stage 1, with low Shannon evenness but high index. Phytoplankton total density biomass decreased drastically 2, still accounted some proportion. highest lowest index occurred 3. Peridiniopsis niei massively 4, its dominant advantages lasted only one two days. NH 4 -N responsible , while TP PO -P ; however, precipitation contributed their drastic decrease disappearance extent. TN : ratio could be considered as an indicator determine whether Throughout study period, physiochemical factors explained more variation data than meteorological hydrological factors. Pairwise comparisons revealed increase average β diversity progression, higher diversities based on abundance those presence/absence data. Repl had greater effect differences data, whereas RichDiff Co-occurrence networks 1 complex structure, followed network 3 relatively sparse, although overall division remained compact. This provides useful attempt explore status during process through high-resolution investigation.
