Photovoltaic power is a rapidly growing component of the renewable energy sector. stations (PVPSs) on coastal tidal flats offer benefits, but lack information effects PVPSs benthic ecosystems and sediment carbon storage can hamper development eco-friendly energy. We sampled macrobenthos cores at PVPS flat in eastern China. The biodiversity indicators ecological quality based were mostly higher under photovoltaic panels than elsewhere. These variations primarily driven by pH, grain size, chlorophyll-a content. However, had exerted considerable influence macrobenthic community structure. Furthermore, stocks from similar to those reference sites. results suggest that this has not discernible short-term adverse or flat. Nevertheless, potentially long-term cascading risks throughout ecosystem warrant caution. Therefore, we recommend policymakers adopt cautious strategy implement long-term, high-frequency monitoring ensure sustainability production flats.
