Abstract We report the experimental observation of domain-wall type dark solitons in an all-fiber ring cavity erbium-doped fiber laser (EDFL) mode-locked with a Titanium Tin Carbide (Ti 2 SnC) saturable absorber (SA). The SA, featuring modulation depth 8.2%, was created by incorporating Ti SnC particles into polyvinyl film. Dark pulse formation is attributed to cross-phase coupling resulting from birefringence. operates at 1559 nm pump power ranging 30.9 mW 90.0 mW, achieving maximum energy 1.73 nJ, repetition rate 1.78 MHz, and width 261.2 ns.
