Background Suicide is a major behavioral issue among children and adolescents, family functioning potentially influencing its occurrence. Furthermore, positive behavior recognition, as key component of youth development, may act mediating factor in the relationship between suicide. Non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) often co-occurs with suicide also mediate impact on Therefore, aim this study to examine role child adolescent suicide, recognition NSSI serving sequential factors. Methods The participants were recruited from Chengdu Positive Child Development (CPCD) cohort study. analysis was based second round cross-sectional data CPCD cohort. They required complete questionnaires that included measures functioning, NSSI. SPSS 26.0 Mplus 8.3 used for descriptive statistical analysis, correlation mediation effect analysis. Results A total 8,124 completed questionnaires, an average age 11.00 ± 2.18 years. sample comprised 4,195 male 3,929 female participants. findings indicate 17.93% adolescents reported thoughts, 10.06% had formulated plans, 8.64% attempted Poor shows significant ( r = 0.322, p < 0.01). multiple association statistically β 0.034, 95% CI 0.027, 0.042). Conclusion This found poor risk non-suicidal acting

Subclinical depressive symptoms and the associated risk of cognitive deficits have been overlooked. We aimed to investigate symptom trajectories effect on performance among Chinese adolescents. The research population our study was 1314 adolescents aged 10–15 years old from China Family Panel Studies. Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale used assess Vocabulary mathematics tests were test fluid intelligence. Memory number series crystal 6-year identified by latent class mixed model. Linear regression models Generalized Estimating Equation applied associations between performance. three distinct symptoms: (a) low trajectory (88.51%), (b) remitting (5.86%), (c) decreasing (5.63%). found that predicted worse intelligence (β: -0.51, 95% CI: -0.88, -0.13) -2.09, -3.78, -0.41) compared with trajectory. Gender-stratified analysis showed negative association only in males. Depressive episodes early adolescence later. Performing mental health screenings, especially during sensitive windows development, is critical reducing impact symptoms.

Abstract Background: Children's mental health has become a major public challenge, with approximately 19.3% of Chinese children and adolescents facing problems. Resilience, positive adaptive trait, serves as key protective factor in children's health. While studies indicate that physical activity (PA) enhances resilience, its underlying mechanisms remain unclear. This study aims to examine the relationship between PA focus on mediated roles executive function (EF) emotion regulation (ER). Methods: A cross-sectional was conducted sample 971 primary school students from grades 2 6 (mean age = 9.8 years) Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province. The Physical Activity Rating Scale (PARS-3), Adolescent Resilience (RSCA), Emotion Regulation Strategies Questionnaire for Children Adolescents (ERQ-CA), Computerized Neuropsychological Assessment System were used evaluate relevant variables. SPSS 29.0 AMOS data analysis structural equation model testing. Results: The results revealed significant correlations resilience (r 0.545, p < 0.01) ER 0.413, 0.01), well negative correlation EF reaction time -0.341, 0.01). found have direct effect (β 0.294, 0.001). Bootstrap mediation jointly formed chain-mediated pathway accounting 17.39% total indirect effect. Among them, played most prominent independent mediating role, contributing 68.38% Conclusions: This elucidates through which influences via regulation, highlighting crucial role cognitive skills this process. These findings not only enhance understanding development but also offer new perspectives designing interventions promote Future educational policies should integrate cognitive-emotional training effectively ability cope stress challenges.
