Acute kidney injury (AKI), a prevalent and complex clinical condition associated with elevated risks of morbidity mortality, necessitates the meticulous detection monitoring damage globally. Biomedicine has shown keen interest in molecular probes detectors for AKI due to their sensitivity, rapidity, cost-effectiveness. Bioimaging technologies play significant role identifying quantifying indicators, enhancing diagnostic approaches, potentially refining therapies immediate control. Molecular serve as valuable tools drug screening, uncovering renoprotective components, signaling pathways, nephrotoxic effects drugs. This review comprehensively summarizes latest advancements probes, emphasizing exceptional efficacy various characteristics, including renal cleanability, multichannel capability, near-infrared-II responsiveness, reactivity toward reactive oxygen species. These offer enhanced benefits assessing evaluating therapeutic medications while simultaneously reducing toxic effects. Additionally, delves into future potentials challenges this field, aiming inspire development enhancement bioimaging early diagnosis treatment diseases.

Screening anti-Parkinson's disease (PD) drugs at in vivo brain level is imperative for managing PD yet currently remains unaccomplished. Peroxynitrite (ONOO–) has been implicated progression. Thus, developing ONOO–-based imaging tools anti-PD drug screening holds promise early prognosis and treatment of PD. Consequently, a near-infrared (NIR) fluorescence probe, BOB-Cl-PN, with high specificity, good sensitivity (LOD = 24 nM), rapid response (<60 s), was devised to investigate ONOO– relationships. Utilizing NIR imaging, BOB-Cl-PN effectively monitored fluctuations 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine (MPTP)-induced cell models, establishing cellular throughput (cHTS) system drugs. In live animal BOB-Cl-PN's ability penetrate the blood–brain barrier enabled flux mouse brains. Moreover, served as an contrast potential traditional Chinese medicines therapy, identifying fisetin having best therapeutic index among 10 medicines. This study constructs sensitive, efficient monitoring dynamics brains provides valuable platform
