The synthesis of two three-dimensional coordination frameworks [CdX2(TPA)] (X = Br for 1 and I 2) has been achieved through the assembly tri(pyridine-3-yl)amine (TPA) with cadmium halides. compounds are isostructural, both fabricated from infinite linkage Cd2+ TPA molecules, halide anions serving as μ2-bridging terminally coordinated species. Photoluminescence properties polymers have thoroughly examined, revealing room-temperature phosphorescence unique decay lifetimes. Remarkably, a yellow glow is samples owing to heavy atom effects. A comprehensive structure–property analysis, complemented by theoretical calculations, conducted elucidate mechanisms underlying fluorescence phosphorescence. Furthermore, photochromic behavior Cd–Br-based solid, which based on an electron transfer process, also investigated.

In the technologically important field of anticorrosion coatings, it is imperative to form well-defined and characterized films protect metal surface from corrosion. Phosphonate-based corrosion mitigation approaches are currently being exploited. Herein, synergistic action alkaline-earth ions two carboxy-diphosphonates, PAIBA [N,N-bis(phosphonomethyl)-2-aminoisobutyric acid] BPMGLY [N,N-bis(phosphonomethyl)glycine], explored. Also, a family four novel hybrid phosphonate materials reported, Mg-PAIBA, Ca-PAIBA, Sr-PAIBA, Sr-Na-PAIBA, whose topological analysis revealed variety underlying networks with 6,10T9, unc, SP 1-periodic net (4,4)(0,2), unique topologies. The metal/carboxy-diphosphonate blends were tested for their performance on carbon steel at preselected concentrations (0.1–1.0 mM) pH values (4.0–6.0). results showed an enhanced inhibitory in presence cations higher concentrations. inhibition 5.0 BPMGLY, PAIBA, combination Sr2+ was investigated detail using electrochemical measurements. Enhanced achieved 1:1 Sr2+/BPMGLY (or PAIBA) binary system. Polarization curves indicated that system "mixed" inhibitor. This study widens carboxyphosphonate coordination polymers, showing potential as attractive coatings performance.
