Microneedle, as a novel drug delivery system, has attracted widespread attention due to its non-invasiveness, painless and simple administration, controllable delivery, diverse cargo loading capacity. Although microneedles are initially designed penetrate stratum corneum of skin for transdermal they, recently, have been used promote wound healing regeneration tissues organs the results promising. Despite there reviews about microneedles, few them focus on tissue regeneration. Here, we review recent advances in this field. We first give an overview microneedle system terms potential cargos (e.g., small molecules, macromolecules, nucleic acids, nanoparticles, extracellular vesicle, cells), structural designs multidrug structures, adhesive structures), material selection, release mechanisms. Then briefly summarize different fabrication methods, including their advantages limitations. finally progress microneedle-assisted skin, cardiac, bone, tendon, ocular, vascular, oral, hair, spinal cord, uterine tissues). expect that our article would serve guideline readers design systems according applications, structure design, achieving better efficacy.

Abstract Detection of biomarkers associated with body conditions provides in‐depth healthcare information and benefits to disease management, where the key challenge is develop a minimally invasive platform ability directly detect multiple in fluid. Dermal tattoo biosensor holds potential simultaneously health‐related skin interstitial fluid because features minimal invasion, easy operation, equipment‐free result reading. Herein, colorimetric dermal fabricated by four‐area segmented microneedle patch developed for multiplexed detection biomarkers. The exhibits color changes response change biomarker concentration (i.e., pH, glucose, uric acid, temperature), which can be read naked eyes or captured camera semi‐quantitative measurement. It demonstrated that vitro, ex vivo, monitor at least 4 days, showing its great long‐term health monitoring.

However, most current therapeutic systems implement these processes separately, leading treatment interruption limited recovery in patients. Personalized healthcare smart medical have greatly promoted research on development biosensing drug‐delivery integrated systems, with intelligent wearable devices (IWMDs) as typical which received increasing attention because their non‐invasive customizable nature. Here, the latest progress IWMDs is reviewed, including mechanisms integrating drug delivery. challenges future directions also discussed.
