The work demonstrates the great potential of using a vanadyl porphyrin probe to study resin–paraffin aggregation processes in oils. dynamics and polarity local environment octaethylporphine (VOOEP), used as spin probe, specially introduced into oil with high content paraffins resins, have been studied. The global practice of blending bioethanol with petroleum fuels serves the dual purpose reducing fuel costs and mitigating vehicular emissions. A new complex of indium(III)chloride with etioporphyrin-I was synthesized and characterized. As naturally occurring extraligated etioporphyrins, the InCl-EtioP-I spectrum in solution has a very strong B-band more than an order magnitude weaker Q-band, but this difference diminishes solid films obtained by thermal evaporation vacuum. Abstract A nickel(II) complex of methyl pyropheophorbide-a bearing a vinyl group at the 3-position was treated with methanesulfonic acid in refluxing benzene to give smoothly corresponding 3-devinylated product. The 7- and 8-vinyl groups related chlorophyll-a/b derivatives were readily removed under same conditions, while 12-vinyl neighboring electron-withdrawing 13-keto carbonyl moiety hardly defunctionalized. devinylations blue-shifted all visible absorption bands dichloromethane. deethylation bathochromically moved redmost Qy maximum, dealkylations 7-, 8-, 12-positions hypsochromically Qy(0,0) maxima, which reproduced by time-dependent density functional theory calculation. Since no periphery free base counterparts mild nickel 3-unsubstituted deoxophylloerythroporphyrin geological samples would be produced via metalation chlorophylls-a/b/c from ancient phototrophs or their followed acidic 3-devinylation.

The purpose of this work is to analyze the electron–nuclear interactions vanadyl-porphyrin (VP) complexes in oil asphaltenes. Asphaltenes from Athabasca sands were studied by HYperfine Sublevel CORrelation Spectroscopy (HYSCORE) electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR). It makes it possible resolve and interpret complex hyperfine spectra intrinsic VP with strong weak between magnetic moment various nuclear spins (1H, 14N, 51V). main parameters spin-Hamiltonian for spin system are determined. axially symmetric structure revealed, local environment center investigated. results can be used study asphaltene aggregates aim elucidating asphaltenes’ transformation(s) under influence external treatment.
