In present study, covalently bonded second generation of amine-terminated polyamidoamine dendrimer to silica coated magnetic nanoparticles (G2-PAMAM@SMNPs) was synthesized through step-by-step growth chemical grafting approach. Then, terminal amine groups G2-PAMAM@SMNPs were carboxylated with bromoacetic acid obtain a solid catalyst. Subsequent the prepared weakly acidic catalyst characterization, its catalytic efficiency evaluated for conversion fructose 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (5-HMF). Reaction conditions gaining an optimum yield 5-HMF from assumed and outstanding 87% afforded in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO)/H2O (v/v: 2/1) media at 140 ºC within 3 h. Interestingly, presence basicity character structure catalyzed isomerization glucose fructose, thus makes applicable direct as well glucose-based carbohydrates good excellent yields under same reaction dehydration. Moreover, easily recovered via separation reused six cycles without noteworthy decrease efficiency.
