This research focuses on Nansi Lake, an important regulating reservoir in China's South-to-North Water Diversion Project. It studies the natural decay process of five major hydrophytes lake and analyzes impact this water quality. The results show that patterns plants are similar, each being divided into three stages. In initial stage, easily decomposable organic matter rapidly breaks down, releasing large amounts nitrogen phosphorus overlying water, quickly consuming dissolved oxygen significantly lowering pH. middle decomposition rate slows content gradually decreases while pH slowly rise. final within is completely consumed, leaving primarily lignin, concentrations various substances stabilize, reaching a steady state. Additionally, study establishes Monod-type kinetic model to simulate changes ammonia during process. By adjusting parameters K1, K2, K3, we obtained fitted curves consistent with data trends for plants. helps understand plant quality Lake provides basis disposal strategies management across different seasons Lake.
