Abstract
This
paper
reports
the
results
of
a
detailed
study
optical
response
boron
difluoride
curcuminoids
to
radiation
exposure.
Two
lines
dyes
fundamentally
different
in
structure
(namely,
symmetrical
and
asymmetrical)
were
tested.
If
absorption
responses
their
solutions
chloroform
X-rays
turns
out
be
quite
close
quantitatively
(note
that
it
has
very
indicative
visual
manifestation
–
gradual
discoloration
is
observed
dose
range
up
300
Gy),
fluorescence
ones
differ
notably:
among
other
things,
former
demonstrate
much
more
sensitive
reactions
(the
corresponding
limit
detection
values
differ
by
2.36-fold).
Nevertheless,
both
parameters,
these
generally
show
good
linearity
as
classical
coordinates
(up
≈
100–150
semi-logarithmic
1000
Gy).
Since
main
reason
for
such
behavior
seems
radiation-induced
decomposition
dyes,
its
possible
scheme
“weak
links”
molecules
(in
words,
radiosensitive
elements)
are
proposed
each
case.
For
example,
include
N(CH
3)
2
fragments
at
ends
dimethylaminostyryl
groups.
It
precisely
detachment
determines
asymmetrical
dyes.
Thus,
obtained
provide
some
insight
into
possibilities
controlling
sensitivity
organic
irradiation
changing
structure.
