ABSTRACT Two new cobalt‐based coordination polymers (CPs) based on two different benzimidazole carboxylic acid ligands, namely, {[Co( L 1 )(H 2 O) ] SiF 6 ·(H } n ( ) and (H = 2‐[1 H ‐imidazol‐5‐yl]‐1 ‐benzimidazole‐6‐carboxylic ‐imidazol‐2‐yl]‐1 acid), were synthesized via solvothermally method. Structural analysis revealed that CP‐1 featured a two‐dimensional planar structure, while CP‐2 exhibited one‐dimensional chain structure. achieved specific capacitance of 658.6 F g −1 at current density A retained good after charge–discharge cycling tests. In addition, both showed adsorption performance for the anionic dye Congo red (CR), maximum capacities 1256 2985 mg , respectively.

ABSTRACT Five new lanthanide complexes {[Sm(H 2 L )(H O) 4 (Cl)]⋅H O⋅Cl} n ( 1 ), {[Eu(H Cl]⋅Cl} {[La(H 3 {[Pr(H {[Ce(H 5 ) (H = 2‐hydroxy‐5‐(5‐(hydroxy‐λ ‐methoxy)‐1 H ‐benzo[d]imidazole‐5‐carboxylic acid) were successfully synthesized under solvothermal method. exhibits a two‐dimensional (2D) network structure, whereas 2–5 feature one‐dimensional (1D) chain structure. The fluorescence investigations demonstrated that 1–5 could be the fluorescent sensor for nitrobenzene (NB) and Fe(III) ions with high selectivity, sensitivity, low detection limits. Furthermore, displayed good adsorption to anionic dye Congo red (CR), capacities 140.5, 206.5, 212.5, 111.5, 211.5 mg·g −1 , respectively.
