Abstract Manganese(II) halides have attracted significant research attention because of their unique zero-dimensional structures, low toxicity, structural diversity, and tunable photoluminescent properties. However, the development neutral manganese(II) chlorides has lagged behind bromide counterparts in X-ray imaging applications. Herein, we report a green-emitting monodentate chloride complex ( H-Cl ) by introducing cyclohexyldiphenylphosphine oxide as ligand, which could be synthesized via simple room-temperature solvent evaporation method. Complex exhibits bright photoluminescence with an emission peak at 516 nm full-width half-maximum (FWHM) 61 nm, achieves quantum yield (PLQY) 16.69%, surpassing most reported chlorides. As scintillator, realizes detection limit 1.581 µGy/s, is much lower than that standard for medical diagnostics. It also shows high spatial resolution exceeding 9.6 lp/mm, highlighting its potential advanced scintillator design high-resolution technology. Graphical
