Improving catalytic performance by controlling the microstructure of materials has become a hot topic in field photocatalysis, such as surface defect site, multistage layered morphology, and exposed crystal surface. Due to differences metal atomic radius (Mn Cd) solubility product constant (MnS CdS), Mn easily occurred S/Mn0.4Cd0.6S (S/0.4MCS) composite. To optimize photocatalytic N2 fixation, effects synthesis conditions reaction for S/0.4MCS were explored systematically studied. Combined with experimental characterization theoretical calculation, not only pathway but also key steps reduction explored. Moreover, transfer mechanism photogenerated charge carriers (PCCs) formed between S 0.4MCS was studied, which enhanced utilization rate electrons (e–) holes (h+). This work detailedly discusses relationship performance, is beneficial design efficient photocatalyst.
