Abstract The global trend toward carbon neutrality and sustainability calls for collaborative efforts in both the basic applied research sectors to utilize mushroom mycelia as environmentally friendly sustainable materials. Fungi, along with animals plants, are one of major eukaryotic life forms. They have long been utilized traditional biotechnology sectors, such food fermentation, antibiotic production, industrial enzyme production. Some fungi also consumed crops, fruiting bodies various mushrooms. Recently, new trends emerged, shifting from applications towards innovative use mycelium eco-friendly bioresources. This approach has gained attention development alternative meats, mycofabrication biocomposites, production mycelial leather fabrics. These aim replace animal husbandry recycle agricultural waste construction electrical paper reviews current on mycelia, covering strain improvements molecular breeding well products processes. Key findings, practical considerations, valorization discussed. Graphical

World agriculture endures an immense challenge in feeding the world's growing population face of several productivity and environmental threats. Yet, demand for alternative protein sources is rapidly increasing as a result growth, including health ethical concerns associated with meat consumption. Edible mushroom species contain high composition protein, fiber, vitamins, variety minerals, are regarded sufficient food products. Pleurotus genus one most extensively studied edible fungi due to its exceptional physical, chemical, biological, enzymatic properties. The assessment on effects vitro culture media composition, carbon nitrogen sources, pH, temperature all necessary enhancing mycelial biomass growth production. Mycoprotein fungal-derived source has been identified more sustainable healthier substitute fibrous structure, nutritional value, unique functional profile. Its distinctive production method results much lower water footprint than traditional farming methods. A systemic transition from cellular using cell-cultivation methods create animal products proposed initiated. This review can provide overview various processes involved usage mycelium hybrid cell-cultured

Agrocybe cylindracea is an important mushroom highly valued as a functional food for its nutritional and medicinal benefits. Many bioactive extracts from A. have been found to exhibit antitumor antioxidant activities. This research investigated the distinct substrates that affected physicochemical biocomponent properties biological efficiency of cylindracea. The used were 48% giant juncao grass mixed with 30% Dicranopteris dichotoma grasses, wasted tea leaves sawdust, 78% cottonseed hulls, all supplemented 20% wheat bran 2% lime. findings indicated grown in cotton seed hulls had significant efficiency, at 35.8%, followed by GD + DD (31.5%) WTL SD (28.7%). ash content peaked fruiting bodies on D. dichotoma, while fat was highest those sawdust. protein significantly higher cultivated hulls. carbon dioxide emissions varied across substrates, observed during maturity stage Emissions decreased sharply 110 days after cultivation. Essential metabolites, such dopamine caffeine, enriched leaves, In contrast, tyramine uracil
