Spent mushroom substrate (SMS) is the residual biomass generated after harvesting fruitbodies of edible fungi. It produced in large quantities and contains abundant nutrients. Plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) are a group plant-associated microorganisms known for their ability to enhance plant growth, improve disease resistance, boost soil quality. In this study, three PGPR strains with highest potential were selected based on grow effectively SMS extract. The substrates mixed solutions sterile water establish batch culture system. mixture was initially incubated at 28 °C 3 days, followed by continuous aerobic decomposition ventilated environment 180 days. Based quality analysis PGPR-treated SMS, 54-day treatment transplanting blueberry seedlings selected. showed significantly higher TN, HN, AP than controls (p < 0.05), suggesting role enhancing nutrient availability. Alpha diversity index revealed significant differences microbial between control. Furthermore, influenced growth characteristics, content, rhizosphere diversity. Enhanced characteristics strongly correlated increased levels, link rhizospheric communities performance. This study provides novel approach experimental framework utilization development PGPR-based biofertilizers, offering valuable insights into sustainable agricultural practices.

Vine length is a crucial plant architecture trait in watermelon, which determines its height. In this study, we identified dominant dwarf watermelon mutant by treating G42 with Ethyl methanesulfonate (EMS). order to clarify the causes of dwarfism mutants, genetic statistics, phenotypic observation, and cytological observation were carried out. Meanwhile, individual resequencing combined molecular markers was used map candidate gene. Our results demonstrated that exhibited incomplete dominance. The plants showed decrease number internodal cells, shortened internodes, reduced vine length. Gene mapping indicated target gene responsible for mutation ClTUA, encodes α-tubulin. A point identified, specifically, change from C T at 1851st base pair. Further experiments, including transcriptome analysis Liquid Chromatography–Tandem Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS), revealed affected auxin synthesis, leading dwarfing plants. This study provides new germplasm resources theoretical foundation breeding watermelon.

The control of height has been one the main problems limiting popularization and application dwarf bamboos for a long time. objective this study was to investigate dwarfing mechanism bamboo through radiation mutagenesis, aiming establish foundation breeding novel varieties. Two species bamboos, Sasa argenteastriatus auricoma, were radiated with different levels 60Co-γ (0, 200, 300, 500, 700 Gy). growth, biomass, antioxidants (SOD, POD CAT) activity, MAD content endogenous phytohormone measured after incubating 90 days. results showed that significantly inhibited stem leaf biomass accumulation two bamboos. activity antioxidant enzymes MDA in both exhibited an increase corresponding dose. S. auricoma is regulated by hormones GA3, GA7, ABA, while IAA additionally influences growth pattern argenteastriatus. In conclusion, these indicated aggravated peroxidation reaction inhibit bamboo.

Populus spp. is an economically valuable tree worldwide, known for its adaptability, fast growth, and versatile wood, often cultivated in short-rotation plantations. Effective propagation crucial rapid genetic improvement global demand forest products biomass energy. This study focused on the rooting growth of poplar cuttings, examining shoot collection timing stimulant treatments across four hybrids: deltoides × P. nigra (Agathe F), maximowiczii trichocarpa (Arges), (Donk), interspecific hybrid canadensis (F-448). The experiment used cuttings collected spring 2022 2023, planted controlled climates with a randomized block design. Cuttings were soaked 24 h stimulants, namely indole-3-butyric acid, cinnamic indole-3-acetic acid. After 12 weeks, percentage seedling height assessed. found that optimal time collecting best late winter to early spring, specifically from March April, shoots after April showing lowest potential. stimulants significantly influenced seedlings. There was tendency lower concentrations increase root formation height, while higher had adverse effects. Despite variations rates, consistent pattern observed different dates all genomic groups.
