Dysregulation of gut microbiota homeostasis can lead to various health issues. In this study, we investigated the effects tangeretin (TAN) on in a mouse model (C57BL/6J) disease, specifically focusing dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced colitis and antibiotic-associated diarrhea through vitro fermentation intestinal bacteria. Our results demonstrated that TAN effectively improved diversity structure disordered microbiota, increasing levels beneficial bacteria such as Lachnospiraceae Bacteroidaceae, while decreasing harmful Enterococcaceae Pseudomonadaceae. Additionally, enhanced production short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) microbial communities. Moreover, metabolism by microorganisms yielded two new metabolites, which exhibited an inverse-conjugate (deconjugate) role, leading more functional substances with high bioactivity. These findings provide scientific basis for potential use prebiotic regulate microbiota.

Increased consumption of thermally processed meats caused a high risk accumulation heterocyclic amines (HCAs), which would lead to livery injuries and carcinogenic diseases in daily life. Our previous study found that cyanidin-3-glucoside expressed protective effect on 2-amino-3-methylimidazo [4,5-f] quinoline (IQ)-induced liver injury, but its intrinsic mechanism vivo was unclear. Thus, this aimed at investigating the alleviation secondary metabolite anthocyanin (protocatechuic acid) IQ-induced dysfunction underlying mechanism. The results demonstrated 4 weeks IQ (30 mg/kg) administration C57BL/6 mice induced significant oxidative stress were suppressed by PCA (10 20 supplement. Meanwhile, IQ-mediated inflammation mitigated supplementation via suppressing NF-κB/MAPK pathways signaling. Moreover, supplement significantly reversed intestinal damage tight junction dysfunction. Concurrently, 16s rRNA sequencing data indicated IQ-disturbed SCFAs content gut microbiota. Analysis correlation between microbiota, with manufacturers hepatic dysfunction, underscored significance gut-liver axis PCA-relieved injury stimulated IQ. Taken together, reduced modifying NF-κB/MAPK-NLRP3 inflammatory cascade, controlled barrier failure mediated In summary, our offer new perspectives microbiome-targeted therapeutic strategies for associated

Obesity is increasingly becoming a challenge with China's economic development. There an urgent need to identify more affordable methods combat this condition. Paederia scandens (PS), cost-effective herbal remedy widely used in China for treating inflammation and pain, shows potential regard. To investigate its anti-obesity mechanisms, we established high-fat diet (HFD)-induced obesity model mice. The obese mice subsequently received daily oral gavage of PS extract 21 consecutive days. Upon the completion experiment, blood samples were collected analyze lipid profiles, including total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), high-density lipoprotein (HDL-C), low-density (LDL-C). Abdominal adipose tissue was subjected hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining histological analysis, while fecal underwent 16S rRNA sequencing assess gut microbiota composition. Our findings revealed that supplementation significantly reduced body weight, metabolism biomarkers, adipocyte size. treatment also restored microbial diversity, 19 specific taxa 25 KEGG pathways identified as mediators effects. These results provide novel theoretical insights into therapeutic prevention treatment.
