Acanthoside B (Aca.B), a principal bioactive compound extracted from Pogostemon cablin, exhibits superior anti-inflammatory capacity. Ulcerative colitis is nonspecific inflammatory bowel disease with unknown etiology. The potential of Aca.B as therapeutic agent for ulcerative also and remains an area future investigation. In this study, we established both in vitro vivo models to investigate colitis, utilizing Llipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated MODE-K cells dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced mice, respectively. progression was evaluated through histologic analysis, body weight monitoring, assessment activity index assessment. Furthermore, the effects on pyroptosis were detected immunoblot analysis. We found that treatment significantly ameliorated LPS-induced injury cells, evidenced by increased cell viability inhibition response. Moreover, attenuated pyroptosis-specific protein expression, caspase-1 activation, cytokine secretion. animal administration improved symptoms DSS-induced mice model. This accompanied reductionsreduced inweight, colon shortening, infiltration, vivo. diminished accumulation advanced glycation end-products (AGE), resulting decrease expression receptor AGE (RAGE) downstream phosphorylated P65 expression. e.The response depends suppressing AGE/RAGE pathway. study confirms providing fundamental evidence translating into clinical applications medicine.
