Microbial metabolism is a diverse and sustainable source of synthetic reagents that can be programmed for controlled high-level production via biology. However, despite the chemical diversity metabolism, utility metabolites, available tools to control metabolic chemistry, there remain few examples use cellular metabolites directly synthesis. Herein, we report bacteria perform P=S bond formation (Ph3P Ph3PS) central sulfur nonenzymatic chemistry in vivo, which also applied affect microbial P=Se (Ph3PSe). To best our knowledge, this first biochemical genetic investigation cell

Organophosphorus flame retardants and plasticizers (OPFRs) are prevalent raise health concerns due to their endocrine-disrupting properties. Clinically detectable thyroid nodules less common in children than adults but pose a higher malignancy risk. The effects of OPFRs on children's relation oxidative stress remain unknown. This cross-sectional study analyzed concentrations seven three biomarkers (OSBs), namely 8-oxo-7,8-dihydro-2'-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG), malondialdehyde, o, o'-dityrosine (diY) 521 urine samples from coastal urbanized region. Median creatinine-adjusted levels the ranged 0.02 0.64 μg/g. Triphenyl phosphine oxide (TPPO) was detected for first time urine. Diphenyl phosphate (DPHP) isopropyl phenyl (ip-PPP) were frequently detected, with median 0.46 μg/g μg/g, respectively. Multiple linear regression analyses mixture models demonstrated that positively associated OSBs. Furthermore, logistic analysis revealed urinary TPPO tris(1-chloro-2-propyl) (TCIPP) nodule risk children, TCIPP further sex-dependent association particularly girls, although OSBs did not show significant mediating effects. Overall, studies warranted explore potential mechanisms linking exposure stress, children.
