Microbial
metabolism
is
a
diverse
and
sustainable
source
of
synthetic
reagents
that
can
be
programmed
for
controlled
high-level
production
via
biology.
However,
despite
the
chemical
diversity
metabolism,
utility
metabolites,
available
tools
to
control
metabolic
chemistry,
there
remain
few
examples
use
cellular
metabolites
directly
synthesis.

Organophosphorus
flame
retardants
and
plasticizers
(OPFRs)
are
prevalent
raise
health
concerns
due
to
their
endocrine-disrupting
properties.
Clinically
detectable
thyroid
nodules
less
common
in
children

adults
but

higher
malignancy
risk.
The
effects
of
OPFRs
on
children's

oxidative
stress

cross-sectional
study

biomarkers

malondialdehyde,

urine
samples
from
coastal
urbanized
region.
Median
creatinine-adjusted
levels

ranged
0.02
0.64
μg/g.
Triphenyl
phosphine
oxide
(TPPO)
was
detected
for
first
time
urine.
Diphenyl
phosphate
(DPHP)
isopropyl
phenyl
(ip-PPP)
were
frequently
detected,
with
median
0.46
μg/g
μg/g,
respectively.
Multiple
linear
regression
analyses
mixture
models
demonstrated
that
positively
associated
OSBs.
Furthermore,
logistic
analysis
revealed
urinary
TPPO
tris(1-chloro-2-propyl)
(TCIPP)
nodule
risk
children,
TCIPP
further
sex-dependent
association
particularly
girls,
although
OSBs
did
not
show
significant
mediating
effects.
Overall,
studies
warranted
explore
potential
mechanisms
linking
exposure
stress,
children.
