Calcium Carbonate (CC) exhibits broad application prospects and significant market demand due to its diverse polymorphs, each with distinct potential for in various fields. Consequently, the preparation of CC specific polymorphs has emerged as a research hotspot. This paper commences an overview structure CC, followed by analysis advantages disadvantages, well mechanisms, common methods such physical methods, chemical carbonation processes, double displacement reactions. Special emphasis is placed on elucidating influence polymorph control agents (including inorganic ions, sugars, alcohols, acids), process conditions (temperature, stirring rate, pH, solution mixing rate), reactor configurations (rotating packed beds high-gravity reactors) regulation CC. points out how these factors alter crystal formation process. Furthermore, it introduces nucleation growth crystallization, analyzing mechanisms underlying two processes. Research indicates that currently relatively mature technique, multiple synergistically influencing particle size Future efforts should focus further improving production exploring novel agents, delving deeper into intrinsic achieve efficient types.
