Lithium batteries have been widely used in our daily lives for their high energy density and long-term stability. However, safety problems are of paramount concern consumers, which restricts scale applications. Gel polymer electrolytes (GPEs) compensate the defects liquid leakage lower ionic conductivity solid electrolytes, attracted a lot attention. Herein, 3D interconnected highly porous structural gel electrolyte was prepared with alginate dressing as host material, poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO), commercial electrolyte. With rich polar functional groups (CH2-CH2-O) segments on matrix, transportation Li+ is faster uniform; thus, formations lithium dendrite were significantly inhibited. The cycle stability symmetrical Li||Li modified composite (SAA) greatly improved, overpotential remains stable after more than 1000 h. Meanwhile, under same conditions, performance unmodified inferior overpotentials nearly 1 V 100 Additionally, capacity retention Li||LiFePO4 SAA 95% 200 cycles, while those others declined sharply. dressing-based GPEs can enhance mechanical thermal PEO-based GPEs, provides an environmentally friendly avenue electrolytes' applications batteries.

Abstract Potassium‐ion batteries (PIBs) are considered as competitive candidates for energy storage applications due to their abundant resources and low cost. K 2 Mn[Fe(CN) 6 ] (KMnF) is an ideal cathode PIBs because of its high theoretical specific (≈600 Wh kg −1 ). However, it suffers from severe Mn dissolution complex phase transitions caused by Jahn–Teller distortion, resulting in rapid capacity decay. Here, a simple, controllable universal “transition metal (TM 2+ ) ion exchange” strategy proposed modulate the surface lattice KMnF, not only stabilizing structure but also maintaining inherent capacity. The substituted TM , including Fe Ni Cu or Co forming heterogeneous protection layer. Especially when modified redox‐active exhibits 144 mAh g considerable density 560 remarkable retention (86% after 1,000 cycles at 50 mA 71% 5,000 respectively). surface‐modified KMnF proved be effective preventing formation tetragonal distortion. This work provides simple high‐energy Mn‐based cathode.
