We present the synthesis and characterization of first triple oxa[6]helicene with C3 symmetry. In contrast to reported D3-symmetric oxa[7]helicene, C3-symmetric analogue holds parallel electric magnetic transition dipole moments thus enhanced luminescence dissymmetry, shedding light on critical role molecular symmetry chiroptical response.

We have developed an efficient chemical resolution of racemic hydroxy substituted dithia-aza[4]helicenes (DTA[4]H) 1(OH) using enantiopure acids as resolving agents. The better diastereomeric separation was achieved on esters prepared with (1S)-(-)-camphanic acid. Subsequent simple manipulations produced highly optically pure (≥ 99% enantiomeric excess) (P) and (M)-1(OH) in good yields. role the position where chiral auxiliary is inserted (cape- vs. bay-zone) structure acid used successful are discussed.

D–A type axially chiral biphenyl luminescent molecules are directly constructed through ingenious functionalization of the octahydro-binaphthol skeleton without optical resolution. The circularly polarized organic light-emitting diodes based on them display remarkable electroluminescence emission, a high luminance >10 000 cd m–2, maximum external quantum efficiency 6.6%, and an extremely low-efficiency roll-off. This work provides universal strategy for developing efficient diverse emitters.

Abstract Peripherally π‐extended corannulenes bearing quintuple azahelicene units, 10 and 11 , were prepared their dynamic behaviors studied experimentally theoretically. The fused synthesized from sym ‐pentabromocorannulene in three steps. X‐Ray diffraction analysis for displayed a conformer possessing P(M) bowl chirality PPMPM ( PMPMM ) helical chirality, which was found to be the most stable conformer(s). Variable‐temperature NMR measurements of revealed that structural isomers can interconvertible solution, depending on steric congestion around scaffolds. Automated search conformers equilibrium transition states by Artificial Force Induced Reaction (AFIR) method interconversion networks, including bowl‐inversion helical‐inversion. This indicated co‐existing corannulene moieties influence conformational dynamics, leads mitigation activation energy barriers isomerization.
