A mild and concise method for the synthesis of chromenopyrrole from 2′-hydroxychalcone is devised. The reaction proceeds via an initial [3 + 2] cycloaddition on C═C bond 1,3-dipolarophile, generated in situ by ethyl isocyanoacetate AgOAc. This then followed intramolecular C–O formation with −OH group C5–H pyrrole, leading to chromenopyrroles.

Abstract We studied a reaction of chromone‐containing acrylonitriles and cyanoacrylates with acid hydrazides. This turned out to be method for the synthesis salicyloyl‐substituted 1,2,4‐triazolo[1,5‐ ]pyridines. The developed is tandem ring‐opening/double ring‐closing process. synthetic approach characterized by low toxic solvents (ethanol, butanol) mediator (Et 3 N), 37–84% yields, non‐chromatographic isolation products, substrate tolerance (59 examples).

Abstract A Sc(OTf) 3 ‐catalyzed tandem cyclization reaction of o ‐hydroxyphenyl enaminones with 1,3,5‐triazinanes has been developed to generate two distinct annulated products in moderate good yields, which is dominated by the electronic characteristics 1,3,5‐triazinanes. The 1,3,5‐triaryl‐1,3,5‐triazinane reacted as C−N synthon produce C3‐aminomethyl chromone, while 1,3,5‐trialkyl‐1,3,5‐triazinane acted C−N−C−N synthons deliver N , ‐dialkyl tetrahydropyrimidine a free hydroxyl group.
