A novel and efficient synthesis of carbonylative difunctionalized cyclopropanes was disclosed by the palladium-catalyzed thioether-thiocarbonylation cyclopropenes with organic disulfides. Preliminary studies show that electron-rich unit in disulfide more conducive to production thioesters. This process is applicable a series cyclopropane derivatives employs commercially available diaryl disulfides as partners. Notably, gram-scale reaction further transformations demonstrate practicality application potential this approach for synthesis.
