Carriers are protective transporters of drugs to target cells, facilitating therapy under each points view, such as fast healing, reducing infective phenomena, and curing illnesses while avoiding side effects. Over the last 60 years, several scientists have studied drug carrier properties, trying adapt them release environment. Drug/Carrier interaction phenomena been deeply studied, kinetics modeled according occurring involved in system. It is not easy define models’ advantages disadvantages, since may fit a specific situation, considering material interactions, diffusion erosion and, no less important, behavior receiving medium. This work represents critical review on main mathematical models concerning their dependency physical, chemical, empirical, or semi-empirical variables. A quantitative representation profiles has shown for most representative models. final comment applicability these presented at end. approach this topic help students researchers wide panorama that exist literature optimized over time. list could be practical inspiration development researchers’ own new application proper modifications, with introduction variable dependency.
