This manuscript is dedicated to a comprehensive exploration of the multifaceted challenge fast electron-hole recombination in titanium dioxide photocatalysis, with primary focus on its critical role advancing field water photo splitting. To address this challenge, three prominent approaches-Schottky barriers, Z-scheme systems, and type II heterojunctions-were rigorously investigated for their potential ameliorate TiO2's photocatalytic performance toward Three distinct dopants-silver, cadmium oxide, zinc oxide-were strategically employed. research also delved into dynamic interplay between these dopants, analyzing synergetic effects that arise from binary tertiary doping configurations. The results concluded incorporation Ag, CdO, ZnO dopants effectively countered problem TiO2 NPs. Ag emerged as contributor at higher temperatures, significantly enhancing performance. system exhibited departure Arrhenius behavior, an optimal temperature 40°C. Binary particularly those combining CdO ZnO, demonstrated exceptional activity lower temperatures. However, ternary configuration involving proved be most promising, surpassing many functional materials. In sum, study offers valuable insights how Schottky heterojunctions, conjunction specific can overcome TiO2-based photocatalysis. underscore proposed revolutionize splitting efficient green hydrogen production, field's understanding sustainable energy applications.
