Rational Design of a Ratiometric Indicator-Displacement Assay for the Monitoring of Chlortetracycline and Intracellular Imaging DOI

Chlortetracycline (CTC) belonging to the tetracyclic antibiotic family is widely used for bacteria inhibition, however residual CTC caused by misuse and overuse may threaten human health. Effective sensing tools precise measurement in-situ imaging of are urgently needed further investigation, but still in challenging. Here, we took indicator-displacement assay (IDA)-based strategy construct a simple host-guest system (C3@BSA) as novel probe CTC. This exhibited ratiometric response type, fast responding time (10 s), satisfied sensitivity (LOD: 110 ppb), excellent selectivity (over seven antibiotics) anti-interference over common ions amino acids. Based on these performance, applied this quantitative determination first observed living cells under dual-channel based mode.
