Interfacial solar vapor generation is a promising technology for alleviating the current global water crisis, and evaporation rate efficiency have approached theoretical limit. In practical interfacial purification system, collection of purified typically lower than rate. Passive devices based on gravity are susceptible to environmental influences exhibit low efficiency, while active consuming external energy suffer from complex device systems extra consumption. Given that both nonselective unable distinguish contaminants mixed in vapor, bionic membranes with autonomously passive unidirectional transfer capacity developed through 3D printing efficient collection. More importantly, capable high-speed transportation without need or drive liquid-selective separating oily pollutants collected products. The directional transport property facilitates modular assembly membrane, extending its application large-scale solar-driven seawater desalination systems.

High-entropy-alloy nanoparticles (HEA-NPs) composed of 3d transition metallic elements have attracted intensive attention in photothermal conversion regions due to their d–d interband transitions (IBTs). However, the effect arising from unbalanced elemental ratio still needs more focus. In this work, FeCoNiCrMn HEA-NPs with different ratios among Cr and Mn been employed clarify impact on optical absorption performance. It can be recognized that reduce Density functional theory calculation demonstrated IBTs changed by element ratios, resulting a number insufficient filling around Fermi level (±4 eV). As result, (FeCoNiCr0.75Mn0.25) balanced exhibit highest surface temperature 97.6 °C under 1 sun irradiation, evaporation rate energy efficiency could reach 2.13 kg·m–2·h–1 93%, respectively, demonstrating effective solar steam generation behavior.
