Organic dyes pose significant environmental and health concerns, including increased carcinogenicity detrimental effects on photosynthesis due to elevated levels of BOD COD. Herein, a hydrothermal approach was employed synthesize CuS@ZnO nanocomposites. Structural properties the prepared nanocomposites were confirmed evaluated by using XRD FTIR techniques. Morphological characteristics particle size (showing an average around 40 nm) FESEM. To assess their effectiveness, nanomaterials investigated against photodegradation rhodamine B (RhB). The CuS@ZnO-b composite, with 1:1 M ratio, achieved impressive 94.31% efficiency 10 ppm RhB quantum yield 1.97 × 10-5 molecules photon-1 (within 120 min at pH 4.0, 50-W light intensity 40°C). ability photocatalyst absorb visible effectively generate free radicals significantly enhanced photon energy activation. antimicrobial effectiveness nanocomposite tested two bacterial strains, Lactobacillus Escherichia coli, agar disk diffusion technique. showed excellent activity, producing inhibition zones 18 mm for 19 demonstrating strong potential combat these bacteria. These findings underscore advancements in photocatalytic systems water purification applications.
