Electrowetting is a powerful method for directional transport of droplet in space. Its applications fluid management include water collection, phase separation, and interface control. However, long-distance the under efficient control challenging due to complicity this active method. In study, we design an experimental setup with programed open electrowetting-on-dielectric (EWOD) device achieve continuous droplet. A self-controlled software introduced into EWOD device. The transported by electrowetting at high velocity about 0.19 m/s. increases applied voltage (V); however, it close saturation V = 250V. calculated contact line friction coefficient (ς) as 1.2 Pa·s when 200V because contribution pinning effect significant. ς value reduces below 0.2 ≥ 230V little dependent on voltage. follows non-monotonic trend increase volume. It reaches maximum volume 1.5 μL. shows good anti-gravity ability. decreases tilted angle chip while length-to-width ratio increases. can be effectively until large 55 °.
