α-Lipoic acid (αLA) is an attractive building block for medical adhesives. However, due to poor water solubility of αLA and high hydrophobicity poly(αLA), elevated temperatures, organic solvents, or complex preparations are typically required obtain deliver αLA-based adhesives biological tissue. Here, we report powder low-viscosity liquid superglues that polymerize bond rapidly upon contact with wet A monomeric mixture αLA, sodium lipoate, activated ester lipoic was used formulate the versatile Stress-strain measurements confirmed flexibility adhesive. Moreover, a small molecule regenerative drug successfully incorporated into released from adhesive without altering physical properties. In vitro in vivo studies developed their cell tissue compatibility, biodegradability, potential sustained delivery. inherent ionic nature adhesives, they demonstrated electric conductivity sensitivity deformation, allowing development tissue-adherent strain sensor.
