ABSTRACT Background Fungi in tumors act as a double‐edged sword, potentially worsening or alleviating malignancy based on the ecological balance within tumor microenvironment (TME). Hydrogels, innovative drug delivery systems, are poised to redefine treatment paradigms. As advanced biomaterials, they offer versatile platform for encapsulating and releasing antifungal agents immunomodulators, responding TME's unique demands. Methods We have conducted collated numerous relevant reviews studies recent years from three aspects: intra‐tumoral fungi, microbe microenvironment, hope of identifying connections between hydrogels microbes. Results This review underscores crucial role microbes, particularly tumorigenesis, progression, efficacy. At same time, we concentrated findings investigations, with their remarkable adaptability emerge intelligent systems. Conclusions Hydrogels ability precisely target modulate microflora, including endows them significant edge enhancing approach not only holds great promise improving cancer therapy outcomes but also paves way developing novel strategies control metastasis prevent recurrence.
