The abolition of environmental pollutants and production hydrogen (H2) from water using a heterogeneous photocatalyst is demanding science the current scenario to solve increasing pollution worldwide energy catastrophe in modern life. To validate this purpose, design low-cost durable semiconductor-based photocatalysts with great light absorption capacity becomes most challenging issue for researchers. Regarding this, herein phosphotungstic acid (HPW)-anchored Zr6O4(OH)4(BDC)6 (UiO-66) metal-organic framework (MOF), i.e., HPW@UiO-66, has been prepared by hydrothermal method efficient, stable, capable harvesting solar toward degradation tetracycline hydrochloride (TCH) H2 presence sacrificial donor. ionic interaction between HPW UiO-66 plays key role photostability charge-transfer mechanism composite well characterized X-ray diffraction, UV diffuse-reflectance spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared, photoelectron spectroscopy. A total 30 wt % HPW@UiO-66 shows maximum about 87.24% 20 ppm TCH solution 60 min solar-light irradiation 353.89 μmol/h production. conduction- valence-band potentials are Mott-Schottky measurement delay charge recombination process through electrochemical impedance proposed mediator-free Z-scheme-oriented electron-hole migration route supported photoluminescence, scavenger test explains better charge-carrier separation high catalytic performance composite. This research will bestow an advantageous blueprint fabricate novel photocatalytic treatment evolution.
