In this work, we report synthesis of tungsten disulfide (WS2) platelets from sulfurization commercial trioxide powder $(\text{WO}_{3})$ using hydrogen free atmospheric pressure chemical vapor deposition (APCVD) technique. This methodology has the potential to be scaled up industrial scale owing its high yield, reproducibility, low cost, and ease operation. Composition morphological investigations revealed total conversion metal oxide dichalcogenide nanosheets. Gas sensing results showed obtained material in detecting NO 2 at room temperature. The responses were remarkable, stable reproducible towards 100 ppb nitrogen dioxide (NO ).

Tungsten disulfide (WS2) is a promising material with excellent electrical, magnetic, optical, and mechanical properties. It regarded as key candidate for the development of optoelectronic devices due to its high carrier mobility, absorption coefficient, large exciton binding energy, polarized light emission, surface-to-volume ratio, tunable band gap. These properties contribute photoluminescence anisotropy. characteristics render WS2 an advantageous applications in light-emitting devices, memristors, numerous other devices. This article primarily reviews most recent advancements field based on two-dimensional (2D) nano-WS2. A variety advanced have been considered, including diodes (LEDs), sensors, field-effect transistors (FETs), photodetectors, emission non-volatile memory. review provides guide improving application 2D through improved methods, such introducing defects doping processes. Moreover, it great significance transition-metal oxides applications.
