Abstract Aromatic imides are an important class of organic mechanoluminescence (ML) compounds. Color is one the most ML properties, and it was previously modified by preparing various aromatic imide derivatives using chemical synthesis. In this report, we present a simple alternative strategy where single solution‐mixed crystallized with commercial dyes to produce mixtures that exhibit new colors. Specifically, blue in its pure form, could be changed pink, yellow, or weak white color Eosin Y, Fluorescein, Acridine Orange, respectively. The resulting also incorporated into waste polystyrene plastic make composite materials behavior.

Three novel Zn(II) mononuclear complexes with the general formula ZnL2Cl2 (L = 2-(4-R-phenylmethylene)benzimidazol-2-hydrazines; R-H (1), R-CH3 (2), and R-OCH3 (3)) were synthesized fully characterized by various means. These demonstrate excitation-dependent emission, which is detected a change in emission color (from blue to green) upon an increase excitation wavelength. Moreover complex 1 shows reversible mechanochromic luminescence behavior due loss of solvated methanol molecules intense grinding crystals. In addition, exhibits vapochromic properties, originate from adsorption vapor on crystal surface. The strengthening anthelmintic activity at transition free hydrazones zinc-based shown.
