High energy, high strength, and stable combustion character are the basic requirements of a modern gun propellant (GP). Herein, graphene nanosheets (GNSs) introduced into nitroguanidine (NQ-GP) as reinforcements to modify its comprehensive performance. A series in-depth characterizations were conducted characterize structure composition propellant, demonstrating that GNSs integrated well in system. The result mechanical properties manifested anti-impact strength increased with increase content low 0.5% GP exerted better than those under different temperature conditions; brickwork bridging effect enhancement mechanism was proposed well. Besides, thermal decomposition investigated heating conditions like programmed pressure. It revealed can produce catalytic on process heat release. Additionally, analysis kinetics by method Friedman demonstrated addition proper could further enhance activation energy NQ-GP stability, which is opposite linear fitting methods Kissinger Ozawa. results obtained likely vary action mechanisms systems or stages. also high-pressure GNS contents obvious influence behavior such Tp Moreover, it found introduction would not burning stability rate coefficient (a) pressure exponent (n) be modified GNSs. Hence, work presented herein highly broadens application scope reinforcement nanofiller will potential value community development high-energy high-strength GPs.
