This study developed a sustainable colorimetric pH sensor using chitosan derived from mealworm (Tenebrio molitor) biomass and anthocyanin extracted red cabbage (Brassica oleracea). Chitosan was used as the substrate material, served indicator dye, collectively forming basis of sensor. The resulting pH-responsive film effectively measures levels 1 to 13, with distinct color shift pink green. demonstrated remarkable stability, maintaining fidelity after prolonged exposure aqueous environments, its practical functionality confirmed through an ammonia detection assay, underscoring utility in monitoring food freshness. The main chemical components of tea tree essential oil (TTO) are monoterpene compounds, including terpine-4-ol,1,8-cineole, para-cymene and γ-terpene. Among them, terpine-4-ol 1,8-cineole the antibacterial components. microcapsules were prepared by orthogonal experiments with core-wall ratio, emulsifier concentration, mass ratio Tween-80 to SDBS oil-water as variables. Through analysis yield coverage rate nine kinds microcapsules, concentration was determined most influential factor for TTO-chitosan six a single-factor experiment. With increase in Escherichia coli increased first then decreased, Staphylococcus aureus first, decreased increased, effect better than that coli. When 4% (13# microcapsule), overall performance coating better, microcapsule dispersion uniform, showing round spheroid shape, particle size mostly distributed between 4 8 μm. against 72.95%, 75.81%. color difference 2.77, glossiness at 60° incidence angle 22.8 GU, visible light transmittance 87.80%. roughness 0.304 μm, elongation 17.47%. research results provide technical reference application an water-based on wood surface.
