Herein, we provide eco-friendly and safely operated electrocatalytic methods for the selective oxidation directly or with water, air, light, metal catalyst other mediators serving as only oxygen supply. Heavy metals, stoichiometric chemical oxidants, harsh conditions were drawbacks of earlier oxidative cleavage techniques. It has recently come to light that a crucial stage in deconstruction plastic waste utilization biomass is activation inert C(sp

Abstract This concept paper aims to summarize recent research on the design and synthetic applications of metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs)‐based hydrogen atom transfer (HAT) catalysts. Functional MOFs have emerged as highly promising heterogeneous catalysts, leveraging their tunable, ordered structure abundant active sites enhance catalytic efficiency in various reactions. HAT, a versatile method for generating open‐shell radical species through selective abstraction, has been well explored homogeneous photocatalysis. In contrast, HAT catalysis remains less developed, albeit great potential industry. will provide timely overview advancements MOFs‐based photocatalysis, classified according centers including aromatic ketones, polyoxometalates, xanthene dyes, thiols, alcohols, highlighting principles practical photocatalytic organic synthesis.

Abstract A copper catalyzed aerobic formal addition of aliphatic C( sp 3)−H bonds to alkenes via a phenyl radical mediated intermolecular HAT process is reported herein, in which the phenylhydrazine not only acts as reagent precursor, but also hydrogen atom donor. This reaction affords an alternative method for direct utilizing air initiator without additional reductants at ambient temperature. variety alkanes and electron‐deficient are successfully incorporated, furnishing series products 20–93% yield. Preliminary mechanistic studies show that 2‐tetrahydrofuranyl formed this reaction.
