Ag nanoparticles modified FeVO4 composite for efficient photocatalytic CO2 reduction DOI

Abstract Photoreduction of CO 2 and H O into fuels value‐added chemicals is an effective solution to address global energy issues. However, developing photocatalysts with high activity selectivity remains a major challenge. Herein, we report Ag nanoparticles (NPs) loaded FeVO 4 (FVO) composite photocatalyst for highly efficient selective photoreduction CO. Under 300 W Xe lamp irradiation, the optimal 1 ‐FVO catalyst exhibits yield 255.4 μmol g −1 h 99.7 %, which are dramatically higher than those pure FVO alone. The significantly enhanced photocatalytic performance could be attributed NPs on surface FVO, improve separation efficiency photogenerated carriers promote adsorption/activation molecules. This study suggests that modification semiconductor method enhancing activity.
