Abstract Electrification of adsorption processes is emerging as an adaptable solution for future gas separations. This study develops magnetic sorbent structures use in induction vacuum swing (IVSA) process specifically designed olefin/paraffin separation. Two sorbents, namely Fe 3 O 4 /ZIF‐7 (ethane‐selective) and /13X (ethylene‐selective) were developed formulated into extrudates (Fe 20 /ZIF‐7‐P) monoliths /13X‐M), tested under different regeneration scenarios, including simultaneous subsequent induction‐evacuation, only, evacuation only. The dynamic results demonstrated that induction‐evacuation improves desorption rate capability. Under this scenario, /ZIF‐7‐P achieved ethane 0.24 mmol/g.min, representing a remarkable 37.5% enhancement over the induction‐only scenario. Similarly, /13X‐M exhibited ethylene 0.35 indicative 34.2% enhancement. Moreover, IVSA cyclic runs highlighted excellent capability stability both with exhibiting purity, recovery, productivity 99.4%, 99.6%, 39.9 mol/kg.h, respectively. Overall, these findings underscore potential hybrid induction/vacuum effective technique achieving efficient sorbents

In this study, we investigate the influence of cold-plasma-induced enhanced performance and efficiency SAPO-34 membranes in separation CO2 CH4 mixtures. Placing herein presented research a broader context, aim to address question whether cold plasma can significantly impact membrane performance. We subjected mild disturbances analyzed their separating CH4. Our findings reveal notable enhancement sustained when exposed plasma. The pulsed displayed improved structural integrity, experimental results indicated that linear structure CO₂ facilitates distortion electron clouds response electric field, property known as polarizability, which aids effective separation. Plausible mechanistic insight intermolecular forces facilitated an integral role exhibiting strong electrostatic interactions. conclusion, our highlights potential promising technique for improving gas mixtures at atmospheric pressures, providing valuable insights optimizing technology carbon capture applications.
