Liquid metals (LMs), with their unique metallic and fluidic properties at room temperature, show promising potential in advanced thermal-related applications. Nevertheless, challenges, such as high surface tension, limited wettability, phase separation, leakage, corrosion, limit integration into broader In this Perspective, we overview the interfacial engineering approaches enhancing compatibility stability of LMs complex application environments. Additionally, applications thermal energy conduction, storage, conversion, infrared modulation control are discussed. This Perspective highlights critical role LM-based systems pathways for developing next-generation LM-enabled technologies.

Improving the hydrophobic properties of aluminum alloys is crucial for industry. In previous reports, researchers prepared superhydrophobic surfaces by fabricating micro–nanostructures on metal surface with a nanosecond laser. However, no have formed microquadrangular groove structures surface. this article, inspired bamboo leaf, structure designed and processed using laser technology to form functional The effects processing parameters, such as power, scanning speed, time, defocus fill spacing size, morphology features, wettability structure, are investigated single-factor experimental method. results show optimal size obtained from experiment an error 1.28% design where has greatest effect defocus, great influence morphology. contact angle water drops can reach 154.7°, power wettability. Laser parameters distinct materials. Therefore, regulation formation microstructure be availably controlled result hydrophobicity achieved.
