Abstract Mental stress is a dangerous factor for the health of living beings, which can lead to various diseases. However, currently, there lack diagnostic tools that quickly and accurately quantify levels mental stress. Cortisol an important hormone widely present in bodily fluids; its concentration reflect level organisms. Here, we report surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) probe based on flower-like graphene oxide-molybdenum disulfide composite material functionalized with cortisol DNA recognition element tetracyanoquinodimethane label, remarkable enhancement value 7.38 × 10 5 , exhibits excellent detection ability wide range concentrations from 1 nM 000 nM, limit down 0.773 nM. The whole takes only 20 min. In addition, SERS selectively detect other substances similar chemical structures, makes applicable complex biological systems good reproducibility stability. This designed has been successfully employed mouse serum cortisol, high accuracy compared enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) results, demonstrating great potential actual sample detection.

Abstract Herein, it is demonstrated that copper (Cu) nanoparticle‐based surfaces prepared via a wet‐chemical method exhibit considerable enhancement of the Raman signal for monolayer adenine, guanine, riboflavin, 4‐mercaptobenzoic acid, and potassium thiocyanate analytes upon excitation with laser in wavelength range 229–325 nm. The results reveal notable surface‐enhanced scattering (SERS) spectra deep UV(ultraviolet) spectral ranges, phenomenon previously unreported Cu‐based surfaces, which, according to current knowledge, typically only red near‐infrared regions. Several different chemical natures are tested, which allow test hypothesis π‐conjugated molecules localized on surface more likely contribute signal. This arises from their capacity charge delocalization, effective orbital alignment metal resonance electronic transitions UV region. Based these findings, mechanism related transfer most plausible explanation observed UV‐SERS signals investigated Cu surfaces.

ABSTRACT Surface‐enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) is a frontier technology for high‐sensitivity analysis of molecules and chemical substances, useful tool in the sensing field relying on fingerprint recognition ability, high sensitivity, multiple detection, biocompatibility, so forth. SERS substrates have been well concerned attributed to their ability enhance signals, which makes them various applications, including detection. At same time, flexible enable sample loads meet requirements and, therefore, sensitivity but detection capacity still limited. In this paper, basic principle method were reviewed, some new trends micro‐ nanostructured reviewed from aspects material, matrix type, preparation, application.

Glutamate is the most important excitatory neurotransmitter, which relevant for study of several diseases such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and Alzheimer. It form L-glutamic acid (Glu) takes at physiologically pHs. The surface-enhanced Raman spectra Glu obtained pH values ranging from 3.3 to 12 are collected in presence silver gold colloids on solid substrates. observed bands compared with positions calculated normal modes free neutral glutamic acid, monohydrate, bound atoms, sodium glutamate. Although atoms prefer bind NH2 group carbonyl groups, binding hydroxyl groups more than amino group. SERS solutions a value 12, both carboxylic deprotonated, indicate complexation dianion cation, was introduced into solution adjust value. Further research towards an optimal substrate needed.
