Background Connexin 43 (Cx43) plays a pivotal role in tumor growth, metastasis, and disease progression. This study employs bibliometric analysis to identify key research trends emerging hotspots Cx43-related solid research. Methods In December 2024, the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) database was searched for publications on Cx43 from 2000 2024. Bibliometric data visualization were primarily conducted using CiteSpace, VOSviewer, Bibliometrix, with focus visualizing aspects such as countries, institutions, journals, authors, references, keywords field. Results A total 1,666 retrieved, annual number articles citations continuing grow. The United States China had highest publications, while University Western Ontario Canada leading institution, most by Christian C.G. Nau. Lampe, P.D. cited author. International Journal Molecular Sciences frequently published journal, Biological Chemistry co-cited journal. High-frequency included phosphorylation, breast cancer, gastric prognostic markers, anti-tumor immune response, drug resistance. Conclusion Contemporary focuses phosphorylation tumorigenesis, progression, its potential biomarker, critical an immunotherapeutic target These studies provide comprehensive deeper understanding tumors help promote further this area.
